The adidas UCL experience was a football event set in a cage where teams of two played each other in a tournament.
Our task was to create the event registration system from an iPad, which fed the data to the event platform, allowing a brand ambassador to choose which teams were in each game.
When each game started, our system had a scoring functionality that added live scores to a large LED screen, with an event leaderboard so every team could see where they ranked - creating a buzz and competitiveness.
The event registration system needs to be simple to use and send data wirelessly to the server in the same building. An iPad app was created to serve the interface. Once the data was received by the server, teams were able to be chosen to play in the arena.
The LED screen showed the live score of the match, and when a goal was scored it presented an animation to the audience.
Once a game was finished, the results were displayed in the leaderboard so everyone could see who was winning.
